Helping Our Community Four Paws At A Time

3rd Annual Volunteer Bar-B-Q

On Sunday, August 28th the RVHS gave back in a small way to the volunteers who are the backbone of our shelter and thrift store. Led by Volunteer Coordinator Kellee Petersen, we had a great spot in the beautiful Tom Pierce Park in Grants Pass. Headlined by BBQ chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs the fair included a wide variety of pot-luck goodies. It was a laid back affair and everyone had a good time. We can't thank our volunteers enough, but we keep trying.

After lunch Kenway Mead got on one side of a stream and the rest got on the bridge over it. This was a very special shot as it was for former RVHS June Peterson who just had a successful liver transplant up in Portland. June has given so much for the animals and we are all elated she got her liver and is in the beginning a long but worth while rrecuperation.

"We love you June"!
