Untitled Document Helping Our Community Four Paws At A Time
3rd Annual Volunteer Bar-B-Q On Sunday, August 28th the RVHS gave back in a small way to the volunteers who are the backbone of our shelter and thrift store. Led by Volunteer Coordinator Kellee Petersen, we had a great spot in the beautiful Tom Pierce Park in Grants Pass. Headlined by BBQ chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs the fair included a wide variety of pot-luck goodies. It was a laid back affair and everyone had a good time. We can't thank our volunteers enough, but we keep trying.

Shelter employee D'Laina Reams and her baby. There was something for everybody on the food line. Debbi Bolton (the shelter secretary) and Diane Mead. Grant writer Angie, RVHS Treasurer Linda Bradley-Lloyd and President Susan Beldman.

Volunteers Larry and Bobbie Larry White chat with Scot. Rich The Chef and the Kellee The Organizer. After lunch Kenway Mead got on one side of a stream and the rest got on the bridge over it. This was a very special shot as it was for former RVHS June Peterson who just had a successful liver transplant up in Portland. June has given so much for the animals and we are all elated she got her liver and is in the beginning a long but worth while rrecuperation.
"We love you June"! Kellee Petersen, Darrell Wray, Margaret Varner and board member Bill Fien. As things wrapped down, RVHS VP Don Ewald, Kellee Petersen, Michele Friedman, Kenway Mead and Rich Steed.
