Saturday, September 17, 2011: The 5th Annual RVHS Doggie Spa and Adoption Day was a huge success. Thanks to the good folks at Club Northwest our shelter dogs and other pooches got all the attention normally lavished on the clients at the best fitness and wellness center in southern Oregon. At the end of the day there were many very happy dogs - especially the seven that found a loving home.

The RVHS would like to sincerely thank all those who attended, volunteered, contributed and most importantly adopted a new "love of their life".

Here we would like to share some of the great moments of the day.

Under sunny skies, the team from the staff and volunteers from the RVHS hit the ground running. With no shortage of shelter dogs who needed some pampering, the two wash tubs were seldom empty.

Jennica from KTVL was on hand to shoot some video for News 10.

By noon all the dogs had been bathed and pampered and this is the war zone.

After their baths the dogs went to the side yard for some social time. For many of these guys it was the first time they had been out of the shelter.

In closing, thanks to Kenway Mead for these photos and all the good things he and Diane do for the RVHS.
